...by simply spending some time helping a child to tie his shoelaces, many skills are being developed, fine psychomotricity (fingers), autonomy, waiting time and patience...
One of Nimbo's foremost aims is to give educational value to every second that passes by in children's life. For this reason most of the fundamental educative purposes that we work on are done by means of common everyday occupations, hygiene, food matters, resting, dressing-up, to wash themselves...Tasks which allow the child discover freely, through experimentation, manipulation, construction, movement, representation and living together, through different languages: speech, body, music, plastic arts and mathematics. While we take some time to show children how to learn to fasten their shoes we are working also many other things as accurate hand manipulation, self-autonomy. As patience and waiting time to be improved.
When painting a nice big drawing with all the children paint may also splash the floor, children will help cleaning up the dirty floor and all together will tidy up the classroom leaving everything back in its place.
